Stephanie J. Gates, P.E. Project Engineer
As a Project Engineer for the Engineering Department at Site Design, Inc., Stephanie Gates is responsible for all aspects of site planning and design work, as well as roadway design, domestic water, sanitary sewer, storm drainage and erosion control design. With over 8 years of experience in civil engineering and site planning Stephanie is focused on the development of master plans, drainage studies and stormwater management plans.
Stephanie joined Site Design in 2006 as a staff engineer where she honed her skills in site planning, layout, grading and drainage. Now as project engineer, she takes the lead on many dynamic public and private land development projects.
Among them, she served as the Project Engineer of the $115 million main terminal renovation at Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport. She is also proud of her civil design work for the $30 million, seven-story Aloft Hotel and city parking garage in downtown Greenville, SC.
A member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, Stephanie is the secretary in the Upstate Branch’s Younger Members program – a professional network for engineers 35 years of age or younger. She has been a registered professional engineer in South Carolina since 2011.
After business hours and on the weekends, Stephanie works as a coach for Girls on the Run, where she leads a 12-week program that encourages a group of girls, ages 8 to 15 years old, to improve their self-esteem and reach their full potential as young women. Stephanie is also a bit of a sports junkie. She runs marathons and enjoys playing in flag football and kickball leagues sponsored by the city of Greenville.
Stephanie received a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Clemson University.
