Leon Buchanan Construction Project Manager
With more than a decade of surveying and engineering experience, Leon Buchanan works with municipal, commercial and public entities to plan their land surveying needs and assignments. At Site Design, Inc. he is responsible for analyzing a project’s scope and establishing a team approach for the construction layout.
A professional who seeks “outside the box” solutions, Leon brings a friendly, team-oriented approach to the land surveying division. Before becoming Construction Project Manager, he was a crew chief for Site Design. He joined the firm in 2005 and has worked on a variety of projects including subdivisions, roadways, commercial and industrial projects.
Prior to joining Site Design, Leon was a field engineer for Crowder Construction Co., a large-scale industrial engineering firm, from 2002 to 2005. At Crowder, he was responsible for ALTA surveys, topographic and boundary surveys, construction staking and field support.
Leon and his wife, Allison, have two children, Gaines and Allie. The family lives in Anderson County where Leon volunteers his time as a youth baseball coach for the Townville Recreation Department. He enjoys camping, hiking, whitewater rafting, boating on Lake Hartwell and going to Clemson University football games.
Leon holds a bachelor’s degree in surveying and mapping science from East Tennessee State University.
